About us

A technology partner, not a body shop.

We help startups, SMEs and established businesses design and build software that fits how they actually operate.

Who we are

Software problems are usually process problems.

VBRO Technology helps startups and enterprises grow faster by building innovative, secure and scalable software solutions.

Most of the work that reaches us starts the same way: a business has outgrown the tools it bought, and the gap is being filled by people. Spreadsheets alongside the system of record. Data re-keyed between platforms. A report that takes two days to assemble every month.

Our job is to work out which parts of that are genuinely worth automating, and then build those parts properly. Sometimes that means a custom system. Sometimes it means telling you an existing product would do the job for a fraction of the cost. We would rather give the honest answer and earn the next project.

What we value

How we prefer to work

  • Say the difficult thing early

A problem raised in week two is a conversation. The same problem raised in month six is an invoice. We would rather have the awkward conversation.

  • Build only what is needed

Every feature has a permanent maintenance cost. We push back on scope that does not earn it, including our own suggestions.

  • Leave it understandable

Code, decisions and infrastructure are documented well enough that someone who was not involved can pick the project up.

Our story

How we got here

No funding rounds to report. Just a straight line from taking on the projects nobody wanted, to operating platforms that hundreds of institutions run their day on.

  1. 2019

    A workshop, not a company

VBRO Technology starts the way most good engineering firms do — a small group taking on the projects nobody else wanted to touch, and refusing to ship work we would not maintain ourselves.

  2. 2020

    First dedicated deployments

Client engagements like Shri Krishna Library taught us a sector properly: single-institution systems, run by the people who own them, where there is no platform team to call at 9pm.

  3. 2021

    From projects to products

The same problems kept arriving in different clothes. Rather than rebuild them per client, we started building platforms — the decision that turned a services firm into a product company.

  4. 2022

    SchoolDarpan reaches real scale

Schools adopt the platform in numbers, and multi-tenancy stops being an architecture diagram and becomes an operational discipline: uptime, migrations and support for institutions that cannot pause.

  5. 2023

    GoLibora and Jewellers Pro

Two more sectors, two more platforms — study libraries and jewellery retail. Both built India-first: UPI-first payments, GST correctness by construction, and interfaces in the language of the counter.

  6. 2024

    Tools we wanted to exist

IP Toolkit, Transformly, SecureShare and Files24 ship — free and privacy-first, built because the alternatives were slow, ad-choked, and quietly uploaded your data to do arithmetic.

  7. 2025

A portfolio that answers for itself

Eleven case studies, platforms serving hundreds of institutions, and an affiliate programme for partners. We propose to clients only what we already run ourselves.

  8. Today

    Building what we would use

Every engagement is measured against one question: would we run this ourselves, on our own infrastructure, with our own name on it? If not, we redesign it until the answer is yes.

In their words

What the people running these systems say.

Operators, not marketing departments — quoted on the specific thing that changed.

“We were running 180 seats out of a register and a WhatsApp group. Within a month of GoLibora the seat chart was live, fees were reconciling themselves, and I stopped spending my evenings chasing renewals. The seat designer alone paid for the year.”
Rajesh Sharma Director · Study library, New Delhi

“The parents noticed before we announced it. Attendance and fee updates reaching them the same day changed the tone of every conversation — we went from explaining our records to discussing their child. SchoolDarpan removed an entire category of phone call.”
Priya Nair Principal · CBSE school, Kochi

“Billing at live rates with old-gold adjusted on the same invoice was the thing nobody else got right. And when our connection went down on a Saturday in season, the counter kept billing and synced later. That single feature justified the switch.”
Mahesh Verma Owner · Jewellery retailer, Jaipur

“What I value is that VBRO run these platforms themselves. When we report something, we are talking to the people who own the code — not a support tier reading a script. Fixes land in days, not quarters.”
Anil Kumar Operations Head · Multi-branch coaching institute

“IP Toolkit replaced four bookmarked calculator sites for our whole NOC. It is fast, it works offline during maintenance windows, and nothing we type leaves the browser. That last part is why it is on our approved list.”
Sandeep Rathore Network Engineer · ISP, Gurugram

“They talked us out of half our feature list in the first meeting and built the other half properly. Eighteen months on, it still does exactly what it should, and we have never had a surprise bill or a surprise outage.”
Neha Agarwal Founder · D2C brand, Pune

“Our donors are on modest phones and slow connections, and VBRO built for that reality rather than for a design award. The site loads instantly in our district, and monthly sponsorships have been steady since it launched.”
Imran Qureshi Managing Trustee · Non-profit, Rajasthan

“Recurring commissions on renewals changed what promoting software is worth. The dashboard credits conversions as they happen, the wallet always matches, and payouts have never needed a follow-up email.”

Why VBRO

What you get that you might not elsewhere.

  • Business-first engineering

We start from the commercial outcome and work back to the technology. If a simpler or cheaper approach would achieve it, we will say so before you commit a budget.

  • Architecture that stays changeable

The cost of software is dominated by what happens after launch. We optimise for the second year, not the first demo, so adding a feature does not get harder every time.

  • Direct, technical communication

You talk to the people building the system. Progress is shown as working software on a staging environment, not as a percentage in a status report.

  • Security treated as a property, not a phase

Authorisation is enforced at the data layer, uploads are validated and sanitised, and dependencies are kept current — as part of building, not as a pre-launch checklist.

  • Performance as a requirement

Speed and accessibility are given measurable targets at the start and verified before release, rather than being the first things dropped when a deadline moves.

  • No lock-in by design

You own the code, the infrastructure accounts and the documentation. We work in standard technologies so another team could pick the project up if you ever needed them to.

How we deliver

Our process, in detail

Six stages, each ending in something you can hold — not a status update.

  1. Discover

<p>We map how the work happens today, including the workarounds people have built, because that is usually where the real requirements are hiding. We also establish what success looks like in numbers, so there is an agreed way to judge the result later.</p>

    What you get

    • Process map
    • Requirements summary
    • Success criteria
  2. Shape

<p>Scope is set against the success criteria rather than a wish list. We sequence the work so the riskiest assumption is tested earliest, and we are explicit about what is deliberately out of scope for the first release.</p>

    What you get

    • Scope definition
    • Delivery plan
    • Architecture outline
  3. Design

<p>Interfaces are designed across their full state matrix — loading, empty, partial, error and permission-denied — so those cases are decided deliberately rather than improvised during development.</p>

    What you get

    • User flows
    • Interface designs
    • Component library
  4. Build

<p>We build one complete workflow at a time rather than assembling layers that only meet at the end. Work goes to a staging environment as it is finished, so feedback arrives while it is still cheap to act on.</p>

    What you get

    • Working increments
    • Staging environment
    • Progress reviews
  5. Verify

<p>Automated tests cover the paths that carry commercial risk. Beyond that we check the things that break in production: slow networks, concurrent edits, permission boundaries, and third-party services being unavailable.</p>

    What you get

    • Automated test suite
    • Performance results
    • Security review
  6. Launch

<p>Deployments are automated and reversible. Where a system replaces an existing one, we migrate data with verification and keep a rollback path available until the new system has proven itself.</p>

    What you get

    • Deployment pipeline
    • Migration and rollback plan
    • Monitoring
  7. Support

<p>After launch we monitor real usage, keep dependencies current, and work through the improvements that only become visible once people are using the system daily.</p>

    What you get

    • Monitoring and alerting
    • Maintenance schedule
    • Improvement backlog
