Nuxt is what turns Vue from a library into an application framework: file-based routing, server-side rendering, data fetching conventions and a build pipeline that is already configured. For a content site that also needs interactivity, it removes weeks of setup decisions.
Server rendering is the part that usually decides it — a marketing site or catalogue that has to rank in search cannot ship an empty shell and hydrate.
Why we use it
We use Nuxt when a project is Vue-based and needs both real interactivity and genuine search visibility — a product site, a catalogue, a marketplace front-end.
Where the site is mostly content with light interactivity, we would rather serve HTML from the application that already owns the data and add Alpine where needed. A JavaScript framework rendering text that never changes is complexity without a return.
