PostgreSQL Development

The database to choose when correctness matters most.

PostgreSQL is what we reach for when the data model is the hard part. Its constraint support is the strictest in common use, its type system covers JSON, arrays, ranges and geometry as first-class citizens, and its query planner handles analytical work that would need a separate system elsewhere. The practical value is that invalid states can be made impossible in the database rather than merely discouraged in application code — a difference that shows up years later, when a script or a second application bypasses your validation.

Why we use it

We use PostgreSQL for systems where correctness under concurrency matters — financial records, inventory, anything where two simultaneous operations must not both succeed. MySQL remains our default where an application is straightforward and the hosting environment expects it, which in Indian shared hosting is common. Both are excellent; the choice is about the shape of the problem and where the system will run.
