A logo is used far more often small, in one colour, on a bad screen than it is used large on a wall. We design for the hard cases first.

How we scope it

We start by mapping the process as it actually runs, exceptions included, because the exceptions are usually why the packaged product did not fit. That produces a build order — what is costing you now goes first — and an estimate we are willing to be held to.

If the honest answer is that an off-the-shelf product would serve you better, or that this does not need building yet, we will say so. That conversation costs us a project occasionally and saves the relationship every time.
